The Switch collection collates cues from Thomas Edison’s explorations and familiar scientific glassware, which is appropriated in a symbolic nod to the experimental urban culture of the ’90s. Pairing a transparent Borosilicate blown glass base with an extendable black PVC cord and colored stopper, each lamp balances structure with dynamism and function with form.
Taking cues from the Arte Povera movement, the Pearl collection subverts traditional notions of fine jewelry. By replacing traditional, permanently affixed gems with interchangeable Murano pearls, the collection continually transforms to align with its wearer’s desires, championing perpetual customization over redundant consumption.
Design is a process that allows me to tackle multiple fields — from jewelry and furniture
to lighting and sculpture. There are adjustments in scale and usage, but the approach is quite similar.
